Python Web Development With Django
I co-wrote one of the first books on the Django web framework.
This was the first book to cover the long-awaited Django 1.0.
We used Markdown for the manuscript, enabling the use of source-code management tools on the text itself. We shared a private manuscript repository throughout the writing and editing process.
This also enabled a couple pieces of automation I wrote:
- Testing the interactive examples within the text
- Extraction of example snippets from working source code files
