For several years I ran my own small agency, E-Scribe New Media, focusing on web and database development for regional clients.
My work also included software integrations, email marketing, CRM, and web development training.
The Yiddish Book Center (largest and fastest-growing Jewish cultural organization in the US) retained me as their web development partner for many years. I built and maintained their web marketing and content platform. Later, as their profile and funding grew, I helped them transition to a large web agency by evaluating vendor proposals and creating a content migration strategy.
The Regional Technology Alliance was funded by a $600,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to increase the pace of innovation and technology commercialization in Western Massachusetts. With a design partner I created the flagship web portal for the venture, anchored by a searchable directory of participating technologists and organizations.
Hallmark Institute of Photography, a nationally prominent photography/business school, contracted me to create an electronic attendance system. I developed a solution that turned iMacs into ID-scanning attendance kiosks. (Later they hired me as a full-time employee.)
